In the case of the contact zones between Buteo buteo buteo and Buteo rufinus cirtensis, the authors (in the Ostrich article) presented a map of contact zones adapted from Ferguson-Lees and Christie (2005). The authors presented a new contact zone in the Strait of Gibraltar (southern Spain), but I guess that the southern limits of the contact zone (in Morocco and Tunisia) are not well defined.
This is happening with vulpinus and buteo further North too but exactly where the hybrid zone is, is unknown.
