A Lesser Flamingo was photographed in southern Tunisia during this year’s Midwinter Waterbird Census (Habib Dlensi and Foued Hamza).
This is the
2nd record for Tunisia.
Elsewhere in Northwest Africa, the species was recorded only in Morocco (16 records, see the
last 2 at MaghrebOrnitho).
