Lesser Flamingo in southern Tunisia

A Lesser Flamingo was photographed in southern Tunisia during this year’s Midwinter Waterbird Census (Habib Dlensi and Foued Hamza).

This is the 2^nd record for Tunisia.

Elsewhere in Northwest Africa, the species was recorded only in Morocco (16 records, the last one observed at Oued Souss in January 2029, see MaghrebOrnitho).
